The most important changes

1. Create a material/service base

Click on “Master data” in the navigation bar on the left. Here you can create both your material and services, distribute surcharges and store calculations.

2. Use materials & services in calculation/documents

When creating your service master, you can easily access your material from the material master file within the calculation (“Calculate price”). Simply select “Material” as the cost type and use the description field as a search.

Tip: Accessing your material from the master data in the price calculation also works, of course, for “normal” positions in your documents.

The new search in the editor now allows you to search your master data in addition to your existing documents. Once you've found the right service or material, you can simply drag and drop it to the left of your document.

3. Outlook: Synchronizing material prices & organizing master data

Auch In the future, we will of course further develop our master data. Next, we will establish a synchronization between materials in the master data and their counterparts within services. In plain language, this means: If you adjust the purchase price of a material in the master data, this will also be updated in all services that include this material. In addition, you will soon be able to create folders in your master data to better structure them in the future.
