Creativity and craftsmanship combined in a workshop — plancraft x Kollektivwerk
Table of contents
At plancraft, we use every opportunity to bring our vision a step further into reality. Together with the Kollektivwerk, consisting of creative minds Denis Fiedler and Alisha Schnaas, we invited over 30 painters and varnishers from all over Germany to a creative workshop with us in Hamburg. Our goal? Not only to pass on new creative techniques such as broom stroke optics, vintage looks and stencil technology, but also to send a strong signal: Craftsmanship is more than just tools and software — it thrives on exchange, cooperation and creativity.
Sharing, networking & over 30 unique results
The workshop was the perfect opportunity to teach painters new techniques while creating space for exchange and community. Let's be honest: When do you ever have so many creative minds from the craft sector in one place? Denis Fiedler showed everyone how you can take your offering to the next level with simple but effective techniques. Everyone was able to process three sample plates and proudly take them home — inspiration to take home, so to speak!
And the best part? The participants not only discussed new painting techniques, but also about their everyday life in the office and the challenges they face in their craft business. It was particularly great for us to hear directly in person how our software makes everyday work easier in many companies. The workshop was completely free of charge for all painters and sponsored by plancraft.
The painters could try out the following techniques in the workshop:
1. Broom stroke optics
With the broomstick look, you can really breathe life into your walls. With a textured brush, surfaces are designed dynamically and individually. Denis showed how to achieve impressive results with simple steps that really make every room unique.
2. Vintage look
Not everything always has to look fresh out of an egg — the vintage look is the best proof! With the right techniques and colors, you can give every wall a retro look that radiates personality and charm. The participants were able to try out how to implement this look in a simple way and thus design rooms with character.
3. Stencil Art - The stencil technique
For anyone who loves precision, stencil technology is a real highlight. Stencils can be used to apply artistic patterns and designs to the wall. Whether geometric or floral (or, in this case, with PlanCaft steps) — there are no limits to your creativity here.
Creativity meets craftsmanship — and craftsmen meet
But our workshop wasn't just a place to learn — it mainly lived from exchange among the participants. Painters and varnishers from various parts of Germany have shared their experiences, challenges and success stories. It was great to see how everyone was able to inspire each other and go home with new ideas!
It was particularly important to us to unite various companies of different sizes and locations and to be able to make all participating painters happy. It is important to us to make such events possible because we firmly believe that innovation and exchange go hand in hand in the craft sector.
Conclusion: More than just a workshop
The workshop was a complete success — not only because all participants tried out new techniques, but also because the exchange and networking were a big part of it. It was super exciting to see how traditional craftsmanship and modern ideas come together. At plancraft, we work every day to support the craft industry with our software and are convinced that creativity and craftsmanship can set new standards together.
A huge thank you to all participants and especially to Denis Fiedler and Alisha Schnaas from the Kollektivwerk for the great collaboration! We're really looking forward to the next event — maybe soon in another city? Stay tuned, it's worth it!
