Press Release

Hamburg, August 1, 2023 Plancraft GmbH and STIHL will work together as part of a partnership in the future. The aim of the cooperation is to make work in gardening and landscaping easier for companies using craft software from Plancraft and STIHL products by the two companies actively referring their customers to the partner's products and solutions. With the Plancraft solution in particular, craftsmen will be able to benefit from increases in efficiency in their daily work in the future, for example through simpler work schedule planning and the effective use of professional battery products.

Digitalization potential in gardening and landscaping

Progressive digitization in all sectors of the economy also requires the craft sector to adapt to new technologies and business models. Simple craft software solutions such as Plancraft can make a contribution to facilitating everyday work through efficient order management, rapid document creation, flexible work and simple communication and to optimize processes in companies.

Partnership for holistic future development

However, it is necessary that both software and hardware are equally integrated into the operation. The two companies therefore use their communication channels to refer to STIHL products or the Plancraft software solution, thus helping service providers in gardening and landscaping overcome their challenges.

We have worked intensively on the digital requirements of our STIHL professional customers over the last 1.5 years and are therefore very pleased to enter into this partnership with Plancraft. Plancraft is a software solution that can significantly simplify everyday work for our customers. With the help of the software, our customers are less tied to the office and have more time for the essentials — working on the construction site.”, explains Karsten Schmidt — Head of STIHL's Exploration Unit.

Together as a reliable partner for the craft sector

Julian Wiedenhaus, CEO and co-founder of Plancraft GmbH, sees the cooperation as a great opportunity:”In recent years, we have already been able to drive digitization forward in many companies, primarily painting companies and carpentry shops, and through cooperation with a strong partner such as STIHL, we are now pleased to have the opportunity to reach thousands of companies together and to meet the needs of customers even better. In this way, digitization processes can also be carried into the GALA building, so that this industry can also benefit even more from the advantages of digital work. We are convinced that together we can contribute to advancing digitization in the craft sector and help small businesses work more efficiently and effectively.”

Modern technologies for contemporary work

Due to the demands of today, it is becoming increasingly important for the craft sector to be able to work flexibly and to no longer be tied to fixed offices. The Plancraft team focuses on relieving craftsmen from a technical point of view, for example by eliminating initial installations, manual updates and complicated processes. Thanks to the use of a cloud, craftsmen can now do their office work from anywhere and thus also work from their preferred devices, whether from a tablet, computer or smartphone, regardless of the operating system used.

The partnership between STIHL and Plancraft will therefore help prepare gardening and landscaping for future challenges and equip the industry with digital solutions. This helps craftsmen to make their work more efficient and effective.
