How Sina became roofer Sina
Craftsmanship has been with me since I was a child
Even as a child, roofer Sina had the craft right in her own house. No wonder, because the dad himself is a company founder and self-employed roofer. Today, Sina herself is a roofer journeyman and is involved in the construction sites of the family business every day. In #crafttalk, Sina talks about her career path, how she came to social media and her plans for the future.
There are over 15,100 roofing companies in Germany1 entered in the craft register. One of them is her parents' business, where Sina successfully completed her training. The decision to follow dad to the roof was made in the last year of Abitur. Like everyone else, Sina was faced with the question: What am I actually doing now?
Collected the impressions, it was up to the parents, a decision that roofer Sina anything but regrets.
“Even though many say you can't do that, I don't regret it for a day, I knew right away how everything worked and I knew all the boys too”
In 2022, Sina will also go to the master school.
Life in the craft sector
Over 19,000 followers watch Sina over her shoulder via her Instagram channel
In 2 years, 5-digit followers on instagram and TikTok, that is Sina's journey on social media — until today. It all started on May 27, 2020, Sina remembers, with the thought: “Just try it out.” Growing followers, community acceptance and the fun of video editing kept Sina on the ball.
Today, there are high-quality mini vlogs from their everyday lives, exciting explanatory videos and great partnerships with other well-known accounts such as Dach Pro Sina's daily content.
In addition, as luck would have it, roofer Sina has a new colleague who really likes what Sina is doing there and supports her.
With her reach, Sina was able to persuade one or the other person to start an internship or even an apprenticeship in the craft sector. That is the news that makes Gnaz particularly happy.
And it will soon be Sina's start on YouTube, an opportunity to gain even better insight into everyday life as a roofer journeyman. Rumor has it that the first video has already been shot.
Company takeover and master school — Sina about her future
The takeover of the company has already been agreed, but from their point of view, it will probably be a rather slow takeover.
My dad is simply a craftsman through and through, you can't easily get him out of the company.
But no problem at all for Sina's family, because the master school is on for now. Completing these successfully and then taking over the business soon — these are Sina's plans for the future. In addition, continue to create exciting content on their social channels and open up a new platform for themselves with YouTube. Sina's future looks exciting but also challenging, so we're definitely keeping our fingers crossed.
We are grateful that Sina has taken the time and at the same time are excited to see what else is to come. We are definitely keeping our fingers crossed and eagerly watching Sina rock the next few years.
